What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep. They let the site remember something between pages or visits, such as a form you are sending or a choice you made. Cookies set by the website you are on are first-party cookies; cookies set by a service it uses are third-party cookies.

How we use cookies

This website is run by M.A.K. PFA. It uses two kinds of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary. The website needs them to work: they keep your visit together and protect the contact form. They are always on, and they are not used to recognise you.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages are read and how people find the site, so we can improve it. These cookies are set only if you choose Allow.

We do not use advertising, profiling or social media cookies.

Which cookies we use

Cookie Set by Purpose Lasts
bookyard-session Bookyard Strictly necessary: keeps your visit together, for example while you send the contact form. 2 hours
XSRF-TOKEN Bookyard Strictly necessary: protects forms against requests sent from other websites. 2 hours
_ga Google Analytics Analytics: tells visits from the same browser apart. Only after Allow. 2 years
_ga_<ID> Google Analytics Analytics: keeps track of the current visit. Only after Allow. 2 years

Your browser also keeps two settings for this website in its own storage, which are never sent to us or anyone else: your choice in the cookie banner, and the light or dark theme if you picked one.

Google Analytics

When you allow analytics, Google receives details of your visit: the pages you view, the website that sent you, your browser and device, and your approximate location. Google Analytics does not store your IP address. Google may process this data outside the European Union, including in the United States. We do not use it for advertising. Google explains how it uses this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

How to refuse or remove cookies

  • Cookie settings. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you reject analytics after allowing it, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
  • Your browser. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Google also offers a browser add-on that turns Google Analytics off on every website.
  • If you block the strictly necessary cookies, the contact form may stop working.

Changes to this policy

When the cookies this website uses change, we update this page and its date. If a change needs your consent, we ask for it again.
